Movilizer GmbH was founded in 2006 by three former SAP employees and now offers one of the leading mobile enterprise application platforms for the seamless integration of SAP business processes in areas such as service & maintenance, sales & logistics or track & trace. "The Cloud for Field Operations" is the company's motto. Currently, more than 200 internationally active companies such as Coca Cola, Böhringer Ingelheim, Daimler or ZF Friedrichshafen are already using the solution of the company from Mannheim. Movilizer has been part of the global Honeywell Group since March 2016. Movilizer uses the ZEP solution - time recording for projects - from provantis IT Solutions to record working hours for consulting projects and support tasks.
As Vice President Delivery at Movilizer, Stefan Wawrzinek is responsible for the entire Professional Service area. This includes, on the one hand, the consulting projects associated with the use and implementation of the Movilizer platform as well as all support tasks arising within the scope of the service and support agreed with the clients. Since April 2015, he and his team have relied on the ZEP - Time Recording for Projects solution from provantis as the central tool for recording and billing the working hours incurred in this context. "Even before we decided to use ZEP, we were already working with a corresponding software solution. However, the focus of this application was on invoicing, so that a lot of manual effort was required for the preparatory work necessary for this." Stefan Wawrzinek explains the initial situation.
"ZEP fully covers all our requirements for recording and accounting working hours and travel expenses, so we are very satisfied with the use of the solution so far. The user-friendliness is very high, which is why user acceptance was also very high right from the start. The manual effort is minimal, so we can happily state that we have achieved our original goal."
He further explains: "In order to relieve our colleagues of this work and to achieve a higher degree of automation, we decided to look for an alternative. The goal was to automate the complete project controlling process if possible."

The fact that the decision was ultimately made in favour of ZEP - Time Recording for Projects - was due to the good experiences Stefan Wawrzinek had already had with the solution at his previous employer. He remembers: "The company I worked for before joining Movilizer was also active in the software sector and used ZEP. The great advantage of ZEP even then was that the solution was designed specifically for project-oriented companies and thus optimally covers the requirements existing in these companies for the different areas of project controlling. For this reason, it was only logical to use these advantages at Movilizer as well."
ZEP - Time Recording for Projects - is a web-based solution that has been successful on the market since 2000. It offers project-oriented companies in particular a complete solution for the areas of time recording and verification, travel expenses, project management and controlling as well as invoicing. The solution is offered in both cloud computing and on-premise operating models. Movilizer opted for the cloud-based use of ZEP. "We ourselves are providers of a cloud computing platform and are therefore naturally convinced of the concept of the operating model. For this reason, the decision could only be made for the cloud version at ZEP as well. The advantages in terms of flexibility and efficiency clearly outweigh the issues of data protection and data security, which we deal with on a daily basis in our solutions.
Currently, about 50 employees use ZEP to record their working hours, travel expenses and holiday planning. In addition, the complete invoicing is done via the solution. If Movilizer employees are on-site at the client's premises for consulting projects or support work, they access ZEP via the corresponding apps (Android, iPhone).
The ZEP Salesforce module enables the connection of ZEP to the cloud CRM solution Salesforce and thus supports the automatic transfer of data on customers and contacts from Salesforce to ZEP. "With the ZEP Salesforce module, we are able to transfer the customer information contained in our Salesforce system into ZEP at the push of a button and assign it to the corresponding projects. After more than a year of ZEP use at Movilizer, he therefore draws a positive conclusion: "ZEP fully covers all our requirements for recording and accounting working hours and travel expenses, so we are very satisfied with the use of the solution so far.
