Research Studios Austria is a non-university research organisation of ARC - Seibersdorf research GmbH, the leading non-university research institution in Austria. The Research Studios research and develop products and services in the fields of e-technologies, smart content and new media and contribute to strengthening Austria's innovation and competitiveness in information and communication technologies.
The studios' independent research programme is geared towards the need for market-oriented research. The usability of the research results is a priority and projects are carried out on the basis of business plans.
As a research organisation, we are active at many locations. Software must therefore fit our organisational structure. With ZEP, we have found the right software tool for rationalised project time recording.
The decisive criterion for the selection of ZEP was the modern architecture of the software based on a Linux web server environment with a MySQL database. This meant that ZEP could be set up and quickly made available for use without any time-consuming software installation.
Using the Internet browser, all relevant data can be recorded securely and quickly and analysed promptly. The monthly statements and project analyses provide us with a transparent overview of all projects. Our employees were also impressed by ZEP's truly intuitive and multilingual user interface.
