How to set up the Memtime interface

Connect Memtime with ZEP
The connection is set up directly in the Memtime app. Open Connected Apps, search for ZEP and click “Connect to ZEP”. You will then need to enter your ZEP SOAP API credentials, which you can find in ZEP under Administration > Interfaces > SOAP. Once authenticated, you can configure your synchronization settings directly in Memtime.
Note: The ZEP add-on module “ZEP Interfaces” is required to use this integration.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions and answers about the ZEP Memtime integration.
Who is the Memtime integration with ZEP suited for?
The integration is a great fit for consultants, developers and knowledge workers who switch between many different tools throughout the day and need accurate project time records. If you find it hard to remember what you worked on — or simply don’t want to think about time tracking while you work — Memtime’s automatic capture combined with seamless ZEP sync removes the friction entirely.
What is the difference between Memtime and manual time tracking in ZEP?
In ZEP, project times are entered manually — you either start and stop a timer or log hours after the fact. Memtime takes a different approach: it quietly records your entire workday in the background and shows you exactly what you worked on and when. You then assign those activities to ZEP projects in Memtime — far quicker and more complete than relying on memory alone.
Do I need an additional module in ZEP for the Memtime integration?
Yes. To use the Memtime integration, the ZEP add-on module “ZEP Interfaces” is required — this unlocks access to the SOAP API. The module can be added via the ZEP Self-Service Tool. Once active, the setup is handled directly inside the Memtime app through Connected Apps.
What ZEP data is available in Memtime?
Memtime reflects all your active ZEP projects, activities and operations automatically. For a project to appear as bookable in Memtime, it needs to be set to “active” in ZEP, have team members assigned, and include at least one operation. Any updates made in ZEP are synced to Memtime automatically.
How does the Memtime and ZEP integration work?
Memtime runs in the background and automatically records which apps and programs you used throughout your workday. You then assign those activities to the relevant ZEP projects, activities or operations — right inside Memtime. The time entry is transferred to ZEP automatically, with no manual input or duplicate recording required.
