Connect Memtime with ZEP

The connection is set up directly in the Memtime app. Open Connected Apps there, search for ZEP, and click “Connect with ZEP”. In the next step, enter your ZEP SOAP API credentials, which you can find in ZEP under Administration > Interfaces > SOAP. After authenticating with your ZEP login, you can configure the synchronization settings directly in Memtime.

Note: Using the integration requires the paid ZEP add-on module “ZEP Interfaces”.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions and answers about the ZEP Memtime integration.

Who is the Memtime integration with ZEP suitable for?

The integration is particularly suitable for consultants, developers, and knowledge workers who work in many different programs daily and need to record project times precisely. Anyone who doesn't want to actively remember time tracking benefits from Memtime's automatic recording and direct handover to ZEP – without reconstructing the workday afterwards.

What is the difference between Memtime and manual time tracking in ZEP?

In ZEP, you record project times manually – starting and stopping timers or entering times afterwards. Memtime, on the other hand, automatically records your workday in the background and shows you what you worked on and when. The assignment to ZEP projects then takes place in Memtime based on this automatic recording – much faster and more complete than manual entry alone.

Do I need an additional module in ZEP for the Memtime integration?

Yes. Using the Memtime integration requires the ZEP add-on module “ZEP Interfaces”, which unlocks access to the SOAP API. The module can be booked for a fee via the ZEP self-service tool. The setup in Memtime itself is then done via Connected Apps directly in the Memtime app.

Which ZEP data is available in Memtime?

Memtime automatically mirrors your active ZEP projects, activities, and tasks. For a project to be bookable in Memtime, it must have “active” status in ZEP, have project members assigned, and contain at least one task. Changes in ZEP are automatically synchronized with Memtime.

How does the integration between Memtime and ZEP work?

Memtime automatically records which programs and applications you used during your workday. You assign these activities to the matching ZEP projects, activities, or tasks in Memtime. The time entry is then automatically transferred to ZEP – without manual input or duplicate entry.
